Pico Technology, a leader in the field of PC Oscilloscopes and data loggers, will be giving a technical presentation at H/WExpo 2016, a UK conference for hardware engineers. Entitled "Flexible Resolution Oscilloscopes Address Mixed Domain Application Challenges", the presentation will explore how a single instrument can now meet the demands of both analogue and digital engineers.

Taking place near Cambridge on the 27th and 28th April 2016, H/WExpo will include an exhibition of hardware development tools and technologies, a stream of presentations from industry experts and a series of half day workshops.

“Analogue and digital engineers have different needs when it comes to waveform measurements, and have had to choose different oscilloscopes optimised for their respective tasks,” said Stuart Murlis Applications Engineer from Pico Technology. “This presentation will discuss how recent developments in Oscilloscope technology are enabling a single instrument for both digital and analogue signal measurement.”

"We are very pleased to have Pico Technology on board for the conference,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “Working at the leading edge of instrumentation development, they will bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the event.”

Covering topics such as memory technology, touch technology, circuit design, ASIC and FPGA design, test equipment, display technology and reference design platforms, H/WExpo is free to attend for hardware developers and technical managers. The conference is funded through sponsorship from a broad range of industry suppliers such as JTAG Technologies, Intelligent Display Solutions and Blue Chip Technology.

"Our objective is always to create a relaxed forum where engineers and developers can meet to discuss current challenges, future trends and new technologies," said Richard Blackburn. "With the workshops and presentations, there is also the chance for delegates to gain new skills and knowledge from industry experts. We feel sure that hardware developers will find it very worthwhile and productive."

H/WExpo will be co-located with the Device Developers' Conference, an event for engineers that develop solutions based on embedded systems and realtime software.

About Pico Technology

Pico Technology has spent over 20 years leading the industry in the design, development and manufacture of high-performance PC Oscilloscopes and Data Loggers, while engineers at our Eastern Europe office have been working in the RF and microwave market since 1974.

Together we have built up an impressive and innovative portfolio of small-footprint, high-performance products and software, often at uniquely low prices. Examples are the PicoScope PC Sampling Oscilloscope range with bandwidths up to 20 GHz; real-time oscilloscopes with fixed and flexible hardware resolutions up to 16 bits, deep buffer memories and mixed-signal capability; the TC-08 and PT‑104 Temperature Data Loggers; and the multi-award-winning Automotive Oscilloscope Kit.

About H/WExpo

H/WExpo Conference is an annual conference for hardware developers, test engineers and manufacturers. The 2016 event will take place at Cambourne, near Cambridge, UK, on the 27th and 28th April 2016.

Sponsored by a broad range of industry suppliers, the exhibition and conference, including a series of 40-minute technical presentations, is free to attend for hardware developers and technical managers. Half-day workshops in various specialisms are available at a small charge.
