Advantech, eInfochips and Texas Instruments collaborate to provide HLS protocol stack for developers of high-performance video streaming applications
Today at the International Broadcasting Conference (IBC) Texas Instruments, Advantech and eInfochips announced that they have developed the HTTP Live Streaming protocol stack for high-performance video streaming application server deployments. The solution supports multiple file container formats, screen resolutions, frame rates, as well as both inbound and outbound transcoding. This solution was developed by eInfochips on Advantech's DSPC-8681 PCIe card, and houses four TI KeyStone- based TMS320C6678 multicore digital signal processors (DSPs). Taipei (Taiwan) / Sunnyvale, CA / Dallas, TX: Advantech (TWSE: 2395.TW), eInfochips, and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) have developed the HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) protocol stack for high-performance video streaming application server deployments.
